Basically, it duth be shakespeare-like speaking, with many duths, thys, thees, Popes, pizzeriae a few ſ 's and Andrew Lloyd Webbers.

Usage in history[edit | edit source]

Ye olde leet speak is especially remembered for being used in Shakespeare's prequel to Hamlet, Hamlet: The Beginning, starring Mel Gibson as King Hamlet (Hamlet in the original film's father). The film was criticized for trying too hard to be edgy, whilst at the same time being criticized as lacking in goatse and other such memes.

Old leet speek is also the third most used language in pornography throughout the world, after DA DA DA and Elfish. What can I say? Runescape players dominate the industry. Lolwut?
