Pirate dream

I once dreamt that I was on a old sailing ship. It was off the coast of Ireland and the people in control of it were pirates. I've never been to Ireland but the coast had a large number of big rocks and the ship ran into some of them near a peninsula while trying to get away from an armada that was after us.

The armada seemed to have a large number of small square wooden rafts with black sails on them. They were foggy and hard to see. When I approached one, I found that there was no one on board. But then something tried to drown me. I sort of gathered that these rafts were being sailed by ghosts. I began turning them over so they'd sink and the ghosts would go away. I think the fog might have been made out of ghosts.

The main ship had fallen on it's side and was starting to sink as well. Some of the pirates made it ashore but others were having trouble making it in - the sea was very rough. Some got onto lifeboats and tried rowing away as fast as they could so they wouldn't be caught. I decided I ought to try and help some of them that were trapped under the ship which was filling with water - they might drown! So as I was preparing to jump in the water to save some of them, a strange thing happened.

My cell phone rang.

I answered it and said, "Um, sorry but I'm in the middle of the 14th century right now. You'll have to call back." For some reason, this made perfect sense.
