We adopted her mother, Boudicca, after she'd been hanging around our yard for a while. We fed and watered her until we came home one night to find her waiting for us at the door, cold and hungry. She was a tiny thing and freshly pregnant, which we didn't realize. She got her name after she intimidated a 120 pound German Shepard, to keep it away from her babies. Mouse got her name because she used to squeak a lot as a kitten. Keyboard used to hang a lot on the kitchen table, a habit we seriously discourage now. On that table was a loose computer keyboard, which became her favorite place to sleep. I got to name Boudicca, but my wife got the rights to her kittens. I was outvoted renaming the dog. We got her as Snowflake, but I was sure if we changed it to Frunobulax, she'd catch on. Ultimately I got my way, because I call her by either name, and she knows that to me, she has 2 names.
