History

The history of not putting vowels in words is short and unmemorable. It all started back in the 1800's when someone named John Schimdt said, "Vowels are stupid and unnecessary to society," and people agreed. It got very confusing because many words looked the same without vowels so the practice of not putting vowels in words was abolished forever.

Didn't you read the paragraph before? The practice was abolished.

I think it is. Because words are exactly the same without vowels. Ex: Grade and Agreed = grd and grd. --T3 16:29, 13 Serpeniver 2009 (UTC)
