Eclipse

An Eclipse is when the leaders of a galaxy get together every once a year and shoot things at the moon, when they shoot the moon it becomes black with sickened fury and shuns the people of Earth and the leaders of the galaxy. Weither this “moon” in question involves one of the (possible/probable/hypothetical) moons of Kepler-62f who is inside the likely aforementioned Milky Way Galaxy & gets stuff town at it as said, is unclear…

The leaders then leave and just go home and watch American tv shows 'til next year.

Eclipses effect many other objects. They interfere with CB radios, destroy cheese and scream at grues. Haha at those cruel grues!
