Forum:An Idea

Hello there, world! It's ME, Readmesoon, And I have an idea. So the other day I was crusin around Uncycloepdia, right? Yeah. So then I had this idea. How about we make some sort of thing where we vote for the best articles of the year? Each year we could have a top ten, like Uncyc. I think this would be pretty cool, And I would like your opinion.

For past years, we could just nominate articles and vote for the ones we see as the "year's best". We could do it just like Uncyc, I think that would be the easiest method (not to be a copy cat or anything).

Your thoughts, please. ~ 03:50, 19 Aym 2009 (UTC)

Mm, it's a cool idea but whether it would work or not I'm not sure... I mean Uncyc has literally over 10 active users that can vote on their stuff :P MMF3.jpgMyMetalFistoRobototalk 09:15, 19 Aym 2009 (UTC)
We did this last time Forum:Top_10_Articles_of_1908?, and the same the year before, just we make it a bit of fun, rather than an epic vote, not everything needs to be a vote yall know?--Silent Penguin 11:23, 19 Aym 2009 (UTC)
Ya, but I was thinkin we could make it like official. Seppy brings up a good point, though. ~ 13:52, 19 Aym 2009 (UTC)
Move your stupid opinions out of the way, Jon is here!! Why do people want so many votes? How many completely useless awards can we give before we completely run out of ideas for award templates?!? We vote for the best articles anyway, why bother going one up from that? Just make up your own mind as to which is best and stop trying to force that on everyone :P--JonTehSexyMofo 17:35, 19 Aym 2009 (UTC)
I agree with ReadMeSoon because I think that it creates a lot of competition and a lot of friendly arguing. And I like contests and other things a lot. --T3 20:37, 19 Aym 2009 (UTC)

I don't bother voting very much for any awards. i don't really even vote for featured article very much. Now and then I'll see one that I think deserves featuring but I don't really keep up with the ongoing vote(s) ... maybe I should but I'm just way too lazy. Feel free to begin making a "best articles of 3007" page if you want --Nerd42 20:41, 19 Aym 2009 (UTC)

Well I got anoher reason to sorta back this up. You see, I'm pretty damn sure people would want to see their own articles on the top ten, so this idea I think might improve the quality of articles. ~ 23:30, 19 Aym 2009 (UTC)
