Fotatoes are similar to futatas but more tatery. A close relative of the potato, they are a delicacy in parts of Kerguelen and Gibraltar, usually sprinkled over fried fnurdles.

In the seventeenth century, firemen used to use fotatoes to extinguish satellite dish fires. The vegetable also made a handy snack afterwards, as they were often used as low fat crisp substitute.

Fotatoes are known as explodies in France due to their tendency to blow up in your face when ingested.
