Talk:Red bird

Upon sitting on the soaked ground, which made the grass within his vicinity give off a faint lavender glow, Rowan surveyed his surroundings in all its chromatic tranquility. Bold, bright, and dark hues of blue, green, and purple foliage permeated his entire field of view, sharply contrasting against the colorless yet equally vast skies above him. The sounds of the rain as it underwent its quick yet gentle downward journey to the ground - the rustling of leaves, the subdued pattering sound of rain hitting moist earth, the plop of each drop hitting puddles - worked to instill a sense of mysticism into any onlooker that was fortunate to behold such a sight. Alas, Rowan has been here long enough to become accustomed to such a serene marvel, but his appreciation for this place couldn't possibly be diminished; he wouldn't want to be anywhere else other than here.

Unbeknownst to Rowan, he was too enveloped in the tranquil sounds of the rain and the sights of the forest to immediately notice the sounds being produced by the thing he had been surveying the forest for: the thin bright song of a bird in the distance.

I mean, this was all I could really come up with. I was thinking of making Rowan become bewildered by the sound of the bird, which prompts him to "float" around and investigate. The bird's song could also be an oddity within itself, maybe making it so that its song doesn't travel in one direction but rather works like a surround sound. As for his reaction upon seeing the bird, whose red color would instill an even greater bewilderment within him, I don't know what I would have done with that. He could probably try to interact with it, and maybe make it weird from there, Flyingcat. 2+2=5 SPEAK TO ME, ILLOGIAN! This is nicely written, but unfortunately I couldn't put it in because the story had already taken shape in my head before I began writing. Sorry, 2+2. I've added the rest of it. I'm not sure what I actually wrote belongs here, though...  Flyingcat (meow?)fr: 08:51, 9 Ditzimber 2018 (UTC)
As in it doesn't belong in the story or in Illogicopedia? 2+2=5 SPEAK TO ME, ILLOGIAN! Past accounts of sodomy RAVENOUS AND RUTHLESS CAPITALISM The greatest article in the history of Illogia! 19:34, 9 Ditzimber 2018 (UTC)
The latter. It's too serious and dark, and it makes too much sense. But it doesn't make enough sense to belong anywhere else, and I'm not sure if I even like it.  Flyingcat (meow?)fr: 21:06, 9 Ditzimber 2018 (UTC)

Well, I liked it, if it's of any consolation. 2+2=5 SPEAK TO ME, ILLOGIAN! Past accounts of sodomy RAVENOUS AND RUTHLESS CAPITALISM The greatest article in the history of Illogia! 21:11, 9 Ditzimber 2018 (UTC)
Well, that's something :)  Flyingcat (meow?)fr: 22:22, 9 Ditzimber 2018 (UTC)
Particularly the ending. Of course, the fantastical portions of the story are beautifully detailed with the more frank and real-life portions providing a sort of dynamic between fantasy and reality.
What did you hope to convey with this story? 2+2=5 SPEAK TO ME, ILLOGIAN! Past accounts of sodomy RAVENOUS AND RUTHLESS CAPITALISM The greatest article in the history of Illogia! 22:53, 9 Ditzimber 2018 (UTC)
Originally I wanted to write a backstory for the poem so it would be a little more than just random nonsense. Then it ended up being a symbolic tale of moral decay, except there's no actual message or anything. Also I like trees. Is that an answer?  Flyingcat (meow?)fr: 03:11, 10 Ditzimber 2018 (UTC)
BTW I'm pretty sure the "real" Rowan isn't this bad and none of this is canon.  Flyingcat (meow?)fr: 16:54, 10 Ditzimber 2018 (UTC)
