Duff duck
“What the hell is this?”
“Beep, Beep!”
Sometime on 2013, the Duff beer company decided to make another mascot in light of Coca-Cola with Santa Claus and polar bears. Serving as the sidekick for the Duffman, they have devised the Duff duck.
How did this particular fellow become the Duff duck?[edit | edit source]
Martinis Montnoir, age 23, was just your ordinary duck who was just minding his own business. He didn't really look forward to his future for the time being. A former savant of Mr. Peepers, he left his job to get his big break in the world. Ironically, he hardly drank alcohol for the time being a mascot. The point being, he was found by some guy who gave him two cans of beer. He told Martinis, "Alright. I want you to strike a few poses with the cans." He followed the actions, but he was unaware about what was happening to him. Later on, it was revealed that the photographer was working for Duff Ltd. who took the pictures to help decide who's going to help represent their beer. The higher-ups gained sight of this and brought Marty to the stand. The Duff CEO told him: "Sonny, you're a big boy now and you're going to do great things for this company! The point is, you're going to be the sidekick of the Duffman and in some cases serve as his understudy... If you know what I mean. You start work tomorrow. I've got hope in you, Mr. Montnoir." History was made. Initially, to represent the American spirit, they planned to have an eagle accompany the Duffman, for other beer companies have not used an eagle as their mascot. However, like most companies, Duff saw the popular trends and looked at the popularity of Duck Hunt as a way to fulfill a similar purpose. Well, look at Marty. You may recognize him from it- allowing the company to amass major profits.
The Duff duck series[edit | edit source]
Essentially, Marty is like a model for Duff, posing for pictures with the intent of advertising beer with moxie and insanity. His ads saw their beginnings in print- magazines, newspaper, and the like. For the time being, his role for TV has not been considered. Of course, lawsuits over Coca-Cola and the Coca-cola duck would rise if he were to be marketed that way. About the ads, it allowed the advertisement department to look back to the good old days with slogans such as "Don't buzz off! Get buzzed with Duff brand beer!", "Help your body and memory- A beer a day keeps the cancer away!", and "Drown out your worries with Duff." It doesn't really help that in his TV spots, they would end with Marty giving off a huge "QUACK!" As expected, their profits rose with two different fronts gaining new recognition because of one individual. As expected, Duff duck does better in print than the TV in terms of his ads. Well, that's all we got for him right now, another crazy Duck Hunt related article on Illogicopedia! Fnurdletoot!
