Why, particularly, do we need elections? This isn't a real government - it's just a web site... if it were up to me, everyone could make up whatever title they want for themselves and help out with whatever they want to help out with. Come to think of it, I don't think there's anything stopping me from implementing something like the h2g2 Keepers organization where everybody can grab a title.
We could call it "The Officials" where anyone can sign up to be "The Official X" where X is something they make up. I call "Official Trouble Causer"! --Nerd42 17:59, 28 Aym 2009 (UTC)

- Nerd, we've had this idea of mirroring the British politics system since the very early days of the site. It's just a bit of fun and not to be taken all that seriously. Anybody could do what you said but where's the community participation?
- To answer your question, we don't need elections as such. Why do we need video games? Television programmes? Books? The answer is we don't. It's just fun, and a novel little thing that's trying to incorporate some pop culture into Illogicopedia with the forthcoming Euro elections. That's the end of the story. Wait, I shouldn't have to justify this stuff, this is Illogicopedia... don't be such a spoilsport :(

OK. I don't follow British politics so I wouldn't know. :) If you wanna have elections just for fun, that's fine ... but you've gotta make clear which votes we take are really deciding something binding about the web site and which are just goofy popularity contests. --Nerd42 16:27, 4 Yoon 2009 (UTC)
