Hotstepper

Hotstepper is a song made by Irish DJ John Gibbons. It is everyone's favorite ringtone. You'll hear it if you go to California and the parrots will start singing it any day now. It's only a matter of time. Look up your local FEMA recommendations for disaster preparedness today!
It is based on an ancient Egyptian melody, and the guy from England played it on the Spanish version of an Iranian string instrument. Everyone only knows up to like 4 bars at most. That's probably an overestimate, still. Fast Eddy's Bon Air, Gannon's Pub, and the Tap Room. See, I can only name three.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The song is actually about Michigan. In an ancient ritual performed anually, the Michiganers prepare hot coals, distribute them in a closely packed sheet along the ground, and send their bravest warriors to walk across them, with bare feet. Thus, hot, steppers. Crazy fuckers (or if you prefer, mad lads).
