Amblyopia
Amblyopia, also known as lazy eye, lazy vision, or Vaseline vision is a highly contagious eye disease spread in many ways, such as direct contact, eye contact, school desks, swimming pools, diapers, diaper rash, saliva, via Vaseline, social contact, and electricity. Amblyopia in lambs is lamblyopia.
Causes[edit | edit source]
Amblyopia is contagious but can also be caused by
- Strabismus (Strabismic amblyopia is spread by the power of thought)
- Uncorrected refractive errors
- Patching the eye or using Vaseline or other occlusive (occlusion amblyopia)
- Sun
Symptoms[edit | edit source]
- Squinting or closing one eye
- Head tilt
- Diaper rash
- Lisp
- Shyness
- Vaseline vision
Prevention[edit | edit source]
You'll need to wear a pirate patch and goggles to prevent spreading or catching this condition. Wash your hands, disinfect surfaces, and don't spit or share Vaseline. Hug cautiously (or not at all) as amblyopia is spread through hugs. Wear sunglasses too, as amblyopia is caused by the sun.
Treatment[edit | edit source]
You'll need to wear an eyepatch on the good eye. This also spreads the condition, making them need eyepatches too. If left untreated, a lazy eye can spread to your whole body. Amblyopia can also lead to blindness if left untreated.
