Forum:AUGH!!!

Please, God, someone say something! I'm sick of looking at the dead forum D:

You guys, i don't want to lecture you about a good community, such a thing shouldn't be forced, but please, there is more to ?pedia than simply creating articles. Use the forum more, and the IRC chatroom, ?pedia was as much an intention to group together like minded people as well as having stuff to write.

Maybe we should totally drop the pickle, it kills the site every time we hold it.--Silent Penguin 10:39, 16 Ergust 2008 (UTC)

Hehehehehe...drop the pickle...I don't know why that tickled me but it did. --.HelloolleH. d00d. 22:41, 16 Ergust 2008 (UTC)

Oops, I dropped the pickle. -- Hindleyak  Converse?blogClick here! 15:45, 19 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
There's a much simpler solution in which the judges of the pickle just write down what they think should win in what order on a wiki page so that all 3 of the judges don't have to all be on at the same time to even make a single step towards judging... but Hindleyite is intent on living in the past, so whatever. --~~~~ 02:05, 17 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
The past ruled cos there was no George Bush. Plus, it's kind of a tradition that there's three judges that discuss the winner together. But sure, Seppy, we need to sort something out for the Pickle judging even if it is the Uncyclopedia method of points and stuff. -- Hindleyak  Converse?blogClick here! 10:13, 17 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
I hate Uncyclo's method, it sucks because it isnt dynamic and you cant weigh the good and bad points in a proper discussion, we just need someone else to go "yeahs! i will judge in exchange for fame, riches and fit women naff all. --Silent Penguin 15:29, 17 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
Then don't use the points system! Just use the underlying and most important point of Uncyc's method: that you write down what you think so that you don't all have to be on at the same time to get anything done. It doesn't have to be points, you could discuss it a page here or on some separate wiki on on friggin' Facebook, even. Just do something that doesn't require you to all be on at the same time! --~~~~ 23:42, 17 Ergust 2008 (UTC)

Seppster has a valid point[edit source]

The forum keeps dying. I dunno what it is, but the Proboards Forum seemed to attract more users - people used to primarily discuss stuff and do nothing on the site. It was freaking quality! I used to feel compelled to post all the time and I really don't know why but it was way more appealing than the wiki forum. I doubt there'd be any way to go back to the 'old days' other than reviving Proboards. Where's MMF? And Asema and all those characters? And the post whoring and general "Yah! We can take over the worrrrrld!" attitude. Disgust. -- Hindleyak  Converse?blogClick here! 16:00, 19 Ergust 2008 (UTC)

Thank You, I agree, i think however, living in the past isnt good, but now, it isn't a shade on what it used to be. I think the main reason, is no post count in the forum. --Silent Penguin 21:54, 20 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
True that living in the past isn't good, but we can get some clues for the future, like how to revitalise the 'we can achieve anything' attitude and general freshness and innovation and stuff. -- Hindleyak  Converse?blogClick here! 12:29, 21 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
Yah! We can take over the worrrrrld! (ESCAPE FROM WIKIA NOW! DOWN WITH MONACO!) We can make ourselves Wikipedia article worthy! Let's go! Some WHAT!? (talk) (contribs) (edit count) 01:45, 22 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
Right on, that's the spirit! -- Hindleyak  Converse?blogClick here! 11:40, 22 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
<genericly supportive, yet slightly sardonic comment> --~~~~
I made that statement, and then I went off to create an article called GUITAR SOLO! (Then some guy categorized it under "articles caused by authors who smoke crack.") Some WHAT!? (talk) (contribs) (edit count) 23:25, 27 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
