Forum:Blank Page!? ARG! DIE!
I have to say, or rather, shout, BLANK PAGE ERRORS ARE THE MOST ANNOYING THING ON ILLODGE EVER! PERIOD (STAIN)! It seems to happen mostly in Firefox for some daft raisin. But I've seen it happen in Internet Exploder too...3456789....

- As i said on carlbs page, the blank html suggests an error is occuring in the php code of mediawiki, clearly in some code that is only run every few pageloads, since it isn't consistent. What it is caused by exactly is anyone's guess. --Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 21:44, 21 Arply 2009 (UTC)

- Yeah, usually happens for me when I hit 'save page', 'preview' and sometimes on the main page and recent changes. Basically everything. But, there are certain times of day when it's far worse: for example, right now I can't see a problem but in a few hours everything will be mental again. -- Hindleyak ( Blab | Blog ) 10:22, 22 Arply 2009 (UTC)
- What I would like to know is; is it since that writing in the top left corner was fixed that this problem arose? Because I dont remember it happening much when it was there. Hmm... wouldn't it be ironic if this page ended up blank for a whole bunch of ppl? Not an entirely ridiculous proposition, but I'd probably laugh. Mildly. But yeah, I do agree with the general consensus that has already been reached. It is annoying. --Fishalishalish 22:41, 22 Arply 2009 (UTC)
- Happens on any page for me, it seems like something that is run on a specific number of page loads, rather than something that runs every page load, since it happens on special pages/forums/sometimes occurs on the same page and sometimes doesnt when the page hasn't changed. --Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 19:08, 23 Arply 2009 (UTC)

In all seriousness, a widespread problem of this kind at a time like this when I really think we need to focus on getting more people involved is a VERY BAD THING that could potentially kill off the site in favor of any professionally hosted competitor that comes along. THIS NEEDS FIXIN' and I suggest reinstalling Mediawiki and our extensions from scratch. (keeping our database intact of course) When you get undefined (and thus untracable) errors, that's prolly all you can do. (easy for me to say ...
