Well, that's because Colonel Sanders already exists as and article and therefore you're unable to make a redirect to your user page. While the article "McAusten" doesn't exist, so I don't see a reason why I can't do a redirect to User:McAusten from McAusten. Actually, I was bluffing. I just got the idea in my head that maybe you'd stop on your own if the apparent reward were taken away (that is what you're after, right, a block?), and then you might do something useful. Like build a yurt out of dead squirrels. Or paint a yellow line down the centre of your driveway. Or plant a mushroom. Or construct a blobular table.
