Forum:I'm sure Illogico could've done without another spin-off
But here is another one. I'm creating one, and it's open for business. I have even less of a quality measure than Illogic, to where anything not vulgar or spammy can pretty much stay. If anyone is interested, come by and the monkeys will chop your head off you will probably be teh adminz. It's probably gonna fail like the rest, but hey, it's a decent endeavor. It would be nice if someone with moar wiki-fu came by... And I'll still edit here (more often) of course, where my contribs might slightly be valued...--Colonel Sanders 02:28, 3 Arply 2011 (UTC)

- Just for fun, I visited it, hoping to find something....readable. But the main page is borked. Sorry, I don't know squat about html code and wiki technicalities. Sorry, but your project doesn't look promising right now. 24.19.134.147 05:25, 7 Arply 2011 (UTC)

- So, I'm taking it the spin-off was a bad idea and I should just shut it down. I'll just get back to my desk here and write some damn horoscopes then.--Colonel Sanders 10:53, 7 Arply 2011 (UTC)
- Most Illogicopedia spinoffs in the past have crashed and burned, just like Illogicopedia itself ever since breaking from Uncyclopedia. Uncle Pete, you barsteward! -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 10:57, 7 Arply 2011 (UTC)
- According to sannse, Uncyclopedia's pageviews have been steadily declining for the past six months, but other Wikia wikis have overall been growing in pageviews. I suspect propaganda, but if the Uncyclopedia bit is true, and if that can be construed as 'crashing and burning' as well, then perhaps we can call it a victory in that we're all equally DOOMED! DOOMED DOOOMED DOOOOMED! ~ 22:18, 7 Arply 2011

- It doesn't surprise me; comedy wikis are soooo 2006. Everyone's moved on to a new omnipotent master. -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 11:31, 8 Arply 2011 (UTC)

There is only one thing that can kill Illogicopedia.
And it's name is Roberto. --Nerd42 02:44, 8 Arply 2011 (UTC)

Has the guru lied? Sincerely, islandmonkey - go speak 10:47, 10 Arply 2011 (UTC)
- The guru is an internal server error relating to caching, not a connection error, that either occurs because somewhere between illogicopedia and your computer, the connection is broken or the server is offline (possibly restarting for updates, or just flat-lining). If next time it happens you can confirm that other websites are also down, it's your connection, if you can browse to other websites, then try checking illogicopedia in "is it down for everyone or just me", if that says its down for everyone, then you can point the finger at illogicopedia's connection/server ;D--Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 11:00, 10 Arply 2011 (UTC)

- If you are on the fence, ubuntu do a windows installer thingy called wubi which installs linux into the windows partition and makes it bootable (no emulation or owt) then you can get a feel if you like it or not, when you are finished with it, just uninstall it from the windows program list, that way you don't need to muck around with partitions until you are sure you want to. Personally i don't like ubuntu much and use Arch Linux instead, but i wouldn't recommend that if you aren't IT savvy. Possible distros you could use: Ubuntu, Debian, Mint (RMS uses mint iirc after having tried linux using wubi), PuppyLinux. I vaguely remember Athyria using Ubuntu. Basically you are surrounded by the two extremes, linux nerds and people who barely know what windows is. --Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 19:30, 11 Arply 2011 (UTC)
