Forum:Vandal alert
I just want to let the next admin who arrives know that there is a user who is currently outputting a continuous stream of vandalism. His username is BobThatHead (Talk • Contribs • Block (rem-lst-all) • Logs • Groups ). Some WHAT!? (talk) (contribs) (edit count) 01:44, 29 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
- I've noticed he has been especially dickin around with you, WHAT!?. He is begging for ban. Give it to him. I wish I could, but I'm not an admin. Readmesoon (The Desperate Book) 02:38, 25 Octodest 2023
- This is the final straw. Seppy, we need an admin in the US timezone, this guy was vandalising for a couple of hours before he got bored and I only banned him about half an hour ago. -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 11:33, 29 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
- Or Australia. The US timezone overlaps between the UK and Australia. Some WHAT!? (talk) (contribs) (edit count) 12:01, 29 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, and impeach an inactive one. We have too many admins who, yes stayed with us for a long time, but have gone walkies in the last three months or so D: --Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 20:43, 29 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for banning him. I had to keep reverting his edits. -->T3<-- Talk? I'm bored | articles? | email? 21:01, 29 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
- PS: Like my new siggy?
- The Divine Fluffalizer, Asema, and MMF. Some WHAT!? (talk) (contribs) (edit count) 21:53, 29 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
- Just stop right there a minute partners! I am wholly against the desysopping of Asema, Fluffy and MMF. It's general wikiquette that admins aren't stripped of their powers unless they have done something reeeally bad, like abuse their powers and such. These three deserve recognition of their integral roles in Illogicopedia's early-middle age history. Plus, I dunno if we have the power to desysop. Even if we do have the power, I'd be highly reluctant to do so.
T3 - sommat's up with your sig, I think the sub tag needs to be closed. -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 11:53, 30 Ergust 2008 (UTC)

I'm confused[edit source]
Having been away for nearly all of the summer (good times :D ) I'm a little confused as to what's been going on? I've looked around the site for clues, but would some one mind filling me in? --
16:00, 30 Ergust 2008 (UTC)- In the past week we've had a vandal that was blocked one day and came back the following day editing under a different name. It was during the night (European time) so there were no admins on hand to deal with them and they were able to vandalise for 2 hours. This happened about two weeks ago, too, but a Wikia caretaker kindly blocked them for us that time (dunno if it was the same vandal). We're now talking about whether we should appoint an admin from the US/Australia timezones to handle such occurrences in the future, and oooooh yeah, they are gonna happen.
And that's basically it :)-- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 16:06, 30 Ergust 2008 (UTC)- Thanks, but Hindley's, as the most active illogicopedian going, what do you reckon we should do? Did you go on holiday too, I'm guessing you didn't 'cos the site is still here. --
- Nah, I'm goin to Florida next year though. And I'm sure in my absence good old Seppy wouldn't let the site fall into the trash...
- I say we appoint one (maybe two) admins from the US/Australia timezone. I ain't gonna explicity name candidates, we need to discuss that on IRC maybe (which I am on right now, hint hint). -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 16:13, 30 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
- Florida still has the internet, if your moving there permanently. I assume youre going on holiday there for a week or two?--Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 18:15, 30 Ergust 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, a couple of weeks in spring next year. Been saving up for it for months! -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 11:15, 3 Serpeniver 2008 (UTC)

We've got that BobThatHead guy agian. This time it is %. You should prevent account creation when you ban him. Readmesoon (The Desperate Book) 02:38, 25 Octodest 2023
- HA! you don't think we do? Dynamic I.P.'s for you--Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 18:12, 6 Serpeniver 2008 (UTC)
- Do the old IPs of those who have dynamic IPs get assigned to others? Some WHAT!? (talk) (contribs) (edit count) 18:13, 6 Serpeniver 2008 (UTC)

- Hm, looks like we may need to get off our butts and fast track the next admin appointment. But not yet, cos I'm watching the Monza Grand Prix! -- Hindleyak Converse • ?blog • Click here! 11:19, 14 Serpeniver 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, me too, :D but someone is recording it too, and i cant hear it over the insane squeeking. --Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 12:31, 14 Serpeniver 2008 (UTC)

Yes, now User:Diabeetus is vandalizing. Someone get here and block him Readmesoon (The Desperate Book) 02:38, 25 Octodest 2023

- Damnit, why do i have to be the first to point this out, but Readmesoon, your sicnature is still broken, its showing the same time everywhere! you need to enable raw sigs and not use a time in your signature--Silent PenguinLeave Me Alone 10:22, 26 Serpeniver 2008 (UTC)
- Readmesoon, what you basically did is put the time of your signature edit into your signature. Here's how you solve it: You remove the timestamp from your sig. You click "my preferences" at the top of the window. In the slot that says "signature," you put {{subst:nosubst|User:Readmesoon/sig}}. Then you click "save" to save your preferences. Now you've got a signature that says the actual time. Some WHAT!? (talk) (contribs) (edit count) 23:16, 26 Serpeniver 2008 (UTC)
Is this a coincidence or did you do it on purpose, but SomeWHAT your sig shows the same time as Readmesoon's.It used to, at least. -- Dxpenguinman, the Penguinman ...He's e-vile! • Talk • Got An Idea? • Forum 23:33, 26 Serpeniver 2008 (UTC)- The only explanation would be that it actually was that time when I made the post.
