You forgot the roast turkey this time... The Supreme Leader XY --- Free Cake! 01:39, 4 Serpeniver 2015 (UTC)

How did I miss this gem? LAR Adriator-Gruntled.png(kaizum me)Plant2.png 02:59, 4 Serpeniver 2015 (UTC)
The roast turkey cost $30, the champagne cost $25... And all this time I wanted an escape from civilisation. I should have gone to the jungles of Burma instead. The Supreme Leader XY --- Free Cake! 22:06, 4 Serpeniver 2015 (UTC)
I don't know what you're referring to. I wrote another fairly in-depth article about another favorite author of mine, C. S. Lewis, right around the same time as this one. The idea was to try to assemble decent length articles about authors as superheroes with superpowers related to their books, put into a larger mythology of the Justice Heroes of America. But I kind of ran out of steam after only a few, and nobody else seemed to take an interest in the idea. --Nerd42 (talk) 06:27, 5 Serpeniver 2015 (UTC)
With such a skimpy user base, we Illogicopedians must rely on our own support systems, rather than hope for community support. I dare say it's part of the wiki's nature. Thus, it's really hard to commit to something so grand as the series you described. I miss your contributions. I hope you will pop in and grace us with more of your utterings. Incidentally, she appeared on a stamp. A stamp. Enforced by the United States government. Irony or what? Icons-flag-au.png Operator XY - (Conversal :: Editations - 7,284 and counting!) 22:40, 27 Yoon 2016 (UTC)

I don't actually believe in the philosophy of Ayn Rand but I find that it is quite often mischaracterized. She is quite often attacked for things she didn't actually believe. For example, she was not opposed to all government programs: she highly praised NASA. And yes, she collected social security benefits, which it turns out actually was consistent with her publicly stated ideology since social security is not welfare: you have to pay into it and are in theory supposed to be getting some of your own money back when you receive benefits.

I am not entirely certain of her views on the postal service or postage stamps, but it is entirely possible that her appearing on a stamp may not have been inconsistent. I'd want to see specifics from her own words about the postal system before drawing a conclusion on that. --Nerd42 (talk) 02:24, 28 Yoon 2016 (UTC)

Well, the postage stamps are not made by NASA. Icons-flag-au.png Operator XY - (Conversal :: Editations - 7,284 and counting!) 23:03, 28 Yoon 2016 (UTC)

Well, she was certainly a self-important. philandering waster of paper at the very least. She's the Jack Kerouac of modern philosophy, all wind and fury with no content worth considering. She had a stupid hairstyle too. LAR Adriator-Gruntled.png(kaizum me)Plant2.png 06:50, 29 Yoon 2016 (UTC)

Hey no not at all -- she was just like Donald Trump (only more literate, coherent, consistent, original, and stuff like that): She said the things everybody wanted to say (at least DT says everybody wants to say the things he says) but were afraid to say, so she said them for them. And that doesn't make the things false, right? I mean, they may still be false, or they may be true, but their truth value isn't affected by whether or not they've been said. (Even if the person saying them is Donald Trump.) I mean, unless we're talking about quantum mechanics; and then it does, of course. Right?
Right!
(Though I confess the thought of listening to a lecture on quantum mechanics delivered by Donald Trump is not something that I really want to be considering as I'm falling asleep tonight.) Snarglefoop (talk) 21:24, 4 Jumbly 2016 (UTC)
And besides, I certainly never heard she rode a motorcycle, and if she didn't do that, I don't see how she could have been Jack Kerouac. (Or Lawrence of Arabia, for that matter.) Snarglefoop (talk) 21:28, 4 Jumbly 2016 (UTC) (Oh whoops -- is this page supposed to be logical? Soooooooorrrryyyy!)
