See, apparently it's been a bit of an issue of late that... um... crap, I wandered off to get some breakfast and now I don't remember where I was going with this.

Meh, we tried getting them to bring up an admin once, and they did; it was for the sake of getting one in America. But he's now inactive.

I think it was something about increasing the odds stopping vandals that need stopping on the same day as opposed to just the same week, and perhaps some vain hope of having someone around capable of and not too lazy to delete stuff, update stuff, and do other stuff I'm too lazy to even think of.

Of course I'd make a rubbish admin, love... I still haven't the faintest inkling how this place works; it's all so new to me. But that's not the point... no, I have an idea. It's a really bad idea, see... why not op two people? Tell them whoever's less productive will be de-opped. Then... just leave them like that indefinitely. It could work, except for the fact that I mentioned it in plain view of anyone who highlights this...

Seems like a lot of the current admins have become somewhat lazy and/or inaktive lately, including myself. *Takes a nap* yaaaaaaaawn...I wouldn't object to a new admin, 'twould probably be good to have fresh blood in an adminship position. And Gruntled's an admin on uncyclopedia, so opping him here could be pretty funny as well as completely ineffective, since he may not even notice. Fonchezzz seems to be completely insane, but he is rather helpful at times, and is incredibly lazy already as well. And there's always that Hello hello fellow; who cares if he doesn't want it? There was a day... way back when... when I was a genuine candidate for adminship. Back in the day when the Duck Clan flourished. But those days are over now. The duck clan is dead. My number one side kick is long since inactive. I'm a lone ranger these days, and as previously mentioned... rather lazy, because ALAS! Well if I were a candidate, I'd have no idea how to use all those fun whips and diddles... that the admins have. Like... I dont know how to work stuff. The problem with this discussion is that we need someone who...

1. Is very active

and

2. Has been here for quite a while.

However, there's not many people who are both of those things. Actually, there's no one. I know you guys have already said it, but I want to state it officially, because it's a bit of a problem. Are you going to trust adminship with a newbie, who might do something stupid or suddenly change heart, or play it safe and give it to a familiar user, who might just disappear or never make use of their powers?

Being an admin is boring work, everyone wants it until they have it, maybe some of you guys should stop complaining about admins being lazy and do some of the tasks you leave to admins, that you can easily do yourself, QD, VFD, Categorizing, Work In progress management. If an admin sees what you did, and doesn't like it, they can revert it, with some grumbles. But if you save them an hours worth of sifting and cost them ten minutes, they have come out better off because of it. Also, the only thing you guys can't do, that we can is ban spammers, delete pages with QD/VFD and feature articles iirc. We don't mind people doing what is typically known as admin work for the admins, what we don't like is when someone comes in and does it wrong :P. To put it quite bluntly, some people just aren't responsible enough for the role, and others we just plain don't know either way, however, the problem is, admins can unban themselves, so if an admin began misbehaving then other admins would be powerless to stop them, just like normal users are. Okay, here's what I'm not understanding... what actually seems to require an admin is really quite simple - bannings, deletions and a few odd things like the mainpage and the site notice and whatnot. So what would be so wrong with opping someone else, someone knowledgeable and trustworthy, mind, surely there are some oldtimers like that, right? ...right? Well, if there is, anyway, to help out, what with the whole folks not actually being around that much, and all?

I still wander in from time to time, but not sure if I contribute enough to count. Besides, my computer seems to have a head cold or something.
