Eh, people these days... making up illogic just cannot compare to what some of them'll say normally, eh? ~ talk) • (stalk) • (block) • ( -- 16 Novelniver 2010 - 00:47 (UTC)
- I believe most people throughout history have been crazy. Presently not disGruntled - Exchange ideas 01:01, 16 Novelniver 2010 (UTC)
- How do you define 'crazy', then? ~ talk) • (stalk) • (block) • ( -- 16 Novelniver 2010 - 01:50 (UTC)
- To me, a crazy person, when confronted with two or more alternate theories of an event, will analyze with a goal of fitting this event in neatly into their world view. The less crazy person performs analysis about events individually and in sets, recursively. The former builds a wall, event by event, around the property of their minds, in order to preserve order. The latter is more interested in truth and reality, which are themselves relative and flexible. As for a sane person, I don't know that I've yet met one. Are you sane, by any chance? - But that explanation actually... makes sense. By most folks, though, you have it backwards - insanity is the deviation from the norm, and what you described seems to be normal. Which I guess just makes normal/sane idiotic, and the reality-interested insane and... er... something. I dunno. I'm more interested in ignoring most everyone else, staring off into space, and spouting nonsense about my cats, actually. What does that make me? ~ talk) • (stalk) • (block) • ( -- 16 Novelniver 2010 - 19:38 (UTC)
- Yes, it makes sense to you and I, and some people who think about this sort of thing. To be clear, we were talking about "crazy", and one definition of crazy is to repeatedly do the same thing even if it fails every time. Normalcy is another thing altogether, and about which I could blather at great length; I'll spare you.

- For me, there are no absolutes, and so reality is this flexible thing, always being modified. For others, absolutes (God, gender, social norms et al) are the measuring sticks against which reality is measured. Somehow I don't think you did your worldview justice, the way you describe yourself above. You clearly pay attention. In any case, I don't feel qualified to suggest what that might make you. Can't be anything too evil. Presently not disGruntled - Exchange ideas 02:45, 17 Novelniver 2010 (UTC)

- Don't feel badly. We're just fooling around, making obtuse references to ideas theories and philosophies, condensed into a suitable stiffness for ?pedia. Do NOT take any of this seriously. Maybe I'll recalibrate my own website for some serious things, and move this over there. Sadly, it will probably never happen because I am extremely lazy. - Ah, an excuse like that... what a wonderful one. Although I guess we're all pretty lazy around here...
- And as for what I am... I am a... a sandwich monger. Or I was until my elaborate schemes of sandwich demandery failed when some nut actually... gave me that sandwich... O___o Feh, I'll just demand another sandwich. That'll work... *wanders off* ~ talk) • (stalk) • (block) • ( -- 17 Novelniver 2010 - 04:00 (UTC)
