Glad you could find Illogicopedia, it's a kind of 'freer' Uncyclopedia with more emphasis on surrealism. Heya. I try to make a point to pop into Uncyc once a month or so, but I don't really have the time to write the type of satire that the place demands. This place seems like it would be a good match, considering the amount of time I have to play with. Plus, it allows me to post the kind of creative writing that I just wouldn't think could get away with there (well, not without abusing my admin powers, anyway -- I'm "undeleteable" I suppose. Hey folks. I really don't mean to alarm anyone. Like I said on THE's talk page, there's nothing really "wrong", I'm just kind of at a loss for what to write here... Unless I'm in a particularly strange frame of mind, it seems that most of what I write really goes over much better with the Uncle Pete readership. Case in point: I repackaged 4 articles I wrote here as a series into a single article at Uncle Pete, and it was nominated and featured. I've also had 2 others featured there while I've been gone, with 2 others being voted on now. Plus, it looks like I may get another Writer of the Month award next month. So... while I do keep checking in here daily, my ?muse is basically AWOL.

Welcome wagon isn't the most exciting of the chores at Uncyc, but it is one of the services there that I consider important (feeling noticed at Uncyc is what pulled me in as a regular user all those eons ago). Admin duties also keep me busy: helping users, banning vandals, managing the Feature Article queue, and generally keeping the place tidy and organized.

So... I'd love to do something here. I'm just at a complete loss for what to do. But I am gratified that my absence is noticed. Thanks for the encouragement. --The Bard of Illogicopedia 14:28, 16 Yoon 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I wasn't able to tell you this on uncyclopedia but you're the best admin I know of on any site. But I've got a problem. Here's whats going on: When I'm making YouTube galleries, I want it to be compressed into one simple frame. I based my design on this here, but trying to interpret it's code into whatever format Illogicopedia uses is simply ridiculous. WHY FOR GODS SAKE CAN'T IT BE COMPRESSED INTO ONE SIMPLE USE OF THE <YOUTUBE> TAGS?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It may sound a bit confusing and not that bad, but when your doing something like this it's fucking bullshit it won't let you make a simple frame because of how the sites coded. I think someone who knows their code should be able to help us. I'm not angry at you, I'm angry at whoever the fuck coded it so something as simple as a frame template is near impossible to pull off correctly. Thanks. I actually resigned from Uncyclopedia this morning, so I'm actually not an admin anywhere at the moment (except on my own wiki, and at my day job).

As to your problem: I see that you copied over the videoframe and frame templates, but ED and ?pedia use two different extensions to play YouTube videos. It may be possible to adapt the template to work with the extension here, but it'll take time and a clever mind. Thanks! Guess I'll be putting more time in for sure now. As far as here, I guess it all depends (a) if there's a need, and (b) what the appointment actually means. If it's some sort of a brass ring / long service award then yeah, maybe no chance. If it's offered as a job where experience counts for something, then who knows. To me, adminship is a real responsibility and my keeping of the keys represents an endorsement of the project. If it was just a fancy title then I wouldn't have de-opped myself at Wikia uncyc. Quitting there was a statement that I don't want to be affiliated with that project, nor Wikia. I'll keep the keys at SEU because of my respect and appreciation for Carlb. But thanks for putting in a good word for me. That means I've been in pursuit of adminship for three years. I stopped actively trying about two and a half years ago, but the want has always been there. I can see why you'd want to move the entirety of the thing to one name for consistency alone, but unfortunately doing so is a little more complicated than just a few pagemoves - have to change all the templates, all the DPL calls, all the subtemplates, and all the template calls on each nomination, as well, and also update the archives. Which was kind of why I never did it, honestly. If you do want to do this, though, I'd suggest using a bot (Seppy'll probably give you the rights if you need them and just ask) to mass edit the lot of them, but you'll also need to change the ordering mechanisms and dating methods for the templates so the edits won't... mess things up. Wish I could help more, but my time has been a little lacking of late. ~ 13:02, 25 Ergust 2011

Actually, I have no interest in moving the entire backlog, just changing the voting prefix for the current batch, and into the future. If it's VFF, I nominate an article on VFF, it creates a template prefixed with VFF/, and I add template VFF. Dunno. DPL managed just fine with the original, bastardized intermixture. :) DPL on the VFF page is now sorting with the new VFF/ prefix, which works fine with the current batch of noms and all the future ones which the createbox now names with that scheme. The holding category remains the same... Didn't work on the main VFF page using the VFF vote template, but if the template stays VFH on the lot, then it's just titles... I don't know how to make the DPL do an OR with the replaceintitle and whatnot on the dynamic histories, but if you can sort that out, then shiny.
