The Chrono Trigger is a superweapon that destroys the Universe by introducing Fox McCloud and William Shatner to Darth Vader.

The structure of the Chrono Trigger has been hotly debated since its conception by famous inventor, Captain James T. Kirk. Certain sides remain ardent in believing that the Trigger is composed entirely of Linux, while others are sure it's composed of magical energy.

Japanese videogame firm Squeenix has adopted the name Chrono Trigger for their popular sports RPG series, Final Fantasy after finding it in a wet box on the side of a road near the Chrono Crossing. It was noted to have been sick, and was treated at the General Hospital in Manhattan until it was able to function without the need for kryptonite.
